Authentic Lime plasters can be applied over new or existing drywall, gypsum plastered, or painted walls,Interior or exterior surfaces such as stucco brown coats. Surfaces must be clean, free of dust, grease and moisture.Loose paint must be removed and repairs to any cracks in the surface must be repaired before application. In most cases we will not apply a lime finish over existing or stucco brown coats applied by others,Authentic Plaster FX requires that the rain screen lathing and brown coat applications are installed by us,although on one occasion we supervised the installation of a stucco brown coat to our specifications ...and then finished the exterior with Intonachino lime plaster .

The natural plasters we use are composed of natural ingredients which contain fine lime putty, marble dust, colored marble dusts and silica's. Natural earth oxides are used to pigment the plasters. One popular finish we use "coccia pesto" contains a brick dust or crushed terracotta decorative "aggregate"
